- How would you handle an angry customer or client?
Listen fully without interrupting, acknowledge their frustration, apologise for the experience, find out the exact problem, explain what you will do and by when, then follow up as promised.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - How would your friends or classmates describe you?
Give two or three traits your friends would genuinely use, each with a small example of how they see it. Including one light, honest flaw makes the answer more believable.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - Is it okay to ask the interviewer how you performed?
It is fine to ask for one area to improve, framed as wanting to learn, but avoid asking directly whether you are selected. Many interviewers cannot share results, so accept a general answer gracefully.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - Should you ask about work-from-home and leave policies in an interview?
Yes, but at the right time, usually with HR after you have shown interest in the role or after receiving an offer. Ask briefly and factually, and do not make it your first or only question.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - Tell me about a successful team project and your role in it.
Briefly describe the project and its goal, explain your specific role and contributions, mention one challenge the team overcame, and finish with a measurable result.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - Tell me about a time you failed.
Choose a real failure with real stakes, own your part without blaming others, explain what you learned, and show how you applied that lesson later with a better result.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - Tell me about a time you showed leadership.
Pick a situation where you guided others towards a result, even without a formal title. Explain the goal, what you did to organise or motivate people, a problem you handled, and the outcome.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - Tell me about a time you took initiative without being asked.
Describe a problem you noticed that was not your job to fix, what you did on your own, and the result. Show that you thought about impact and checked with the right person where needed.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - Tell me about a time you worked to a very tight deadline.
Explain the deadline and why it was tight, how you planned and prioritised, what you dropped or simplified, and the final outcome. Show that you delivered without cutting important corners.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - Tell me something about yourself that is not on your resume.
Share one genuine detail that shows a useful trait, such as a responsibility at home, a long-running hobby or a small side effort, and say in one line what it taught you. Keep it professional and short.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - Walk me through your resume.
Go through it in order, top to bottom, in about two minutes. For each item say what you did and one result, link the pieces into a story that points at this role, and stop before reading every line.
BeginnerQuick answer2 min read - What are your greatest strengths?
Name two strengths that matter for this job and prove each with a short real example from college, an internship or a project. Specific evidence beats a long list of adjectives.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What are your hobbies and interests?
Name one or two hobbies you actually do regularly and say what you get from them. Be ready for follow-up questions, because interviewers often test whether the hobby is real.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What do evaluators look for in a group discussion?
They look for relevant content, clear communication, listening, respect for others, the ability to move the discussion forward and calm leadership. Speaking the most is not the same as scoring the most.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What do you know about our company?
Give three or four researched facts, namely what the company does, its main clients or products, a recent piece of news, and the work of the team you are joining. Then link one of them to why you are interested.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What do you think makes a good leader?
A good leader sets a clear direction, listens, supports the team, takes responsibility when things go wrong and shares credit when they go right. Give an example of someone you have seen do this.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What does success mean to you?
Define success in terms you control, like learning steadily, doing work people rely on and growing responsibility over time, and give a short example of a success you are proud of. Avoid defining it only as title or salary.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What etiquette matters in an online video interview?
Test your internet, camera and microphone beforehand, sit in a quiet, well-lit space with a plain background, dress formally, join a few minutes early, look at the camera when speaking, and keep your phone silent.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What exactly was your role in your final-year project?
Name the part you personally owned, the decisions you made, a problem you solved and the result, using "I" for your work and "we" for the team's. Be ready to go two levels deeper on anything you mention.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What is the difference between an HR round and a managerial round?
The HR round checks attitude, communication, fit, and practical matters like relocation and salary. The managerial round, usually with a project manager or team lead, tests how you would handle real work situations, priorities and people, often mixing technical and behavioural questions.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What is the difference between CTC and in-hand salary?
CTC is the total yearly cost of employing you, including employer PF, gratuity, variable pay and benefits. In-hand is what reaches your bank account monthly after deductions like your PF share, professional tax and income tax.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What is the last thing you learned on your own?
Name something recent and specific you learned outside your syllabus, why you chose it, how you learned it, and how you have used it. It can be technical or not, as long as it shows curiosity.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What kind of questions should you avoid asking at the end of an interview?
Avoid questions answered on the website, early questions about leave, holidays or work from home, salary questions in a technical round, and anything that sounds like you plan to leave soon or are just ticking a box.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What kind of work environment do you prefer?
Describe an environment that matches what you know about this company, such as one with clear goals, a supportive team and room to learn, and show that you can adapt to different setups.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What matters more to you right now, salary or learning?
For a fresher, say learning and growth matter most because they build long-term value, while acknowledging that fair pay matters too. Give an example of choosing learning over short-term gain.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What motivates you to do good work?
Name one or two real motivators, such as solving a hard problem, learning something new or seeing users benefit, and give a short example of when that motivation made you push harder. Avoid answers that are only about money.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What should you do if you are running late for an interview?
Inform the HR contact as soon as you know, with a short apology and a realistic arrival time. When you arrive, apologise once, briefly, and move on. Plan to arrive 15 to 30 minutes early to avoid this.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What should you wear to a campus or company interview?
Wear clean, well-fitting formal or business-casual clothes in plain colours, with neat grooming and comfortable formal shoes, unless the company tells you otherwise. Aim to look tidy and professional, not expensive.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What skill are you currently working to improve?
Name one specific skill, why it matters for your career, what you are doing about it each week and what progress you have made so far. Concrete steps make it believable.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What would you do if a client asked you a question you could not answer?
Be honest that you do not know yet, tell them when you will get back, find the answer from the right person or source, and reply on time. Never guess on facts that matter.
