No magic number.
AI Tapri's readiness result is a documented, independent heuristic. It doesn't reproduce the scoring system of any employer or applicant tracking software. It uses only the resume text extracted in your browser and, if you supply one, your pasted job description.
Our current category weights
| Category | Configured points |
|---|---|
| Extracted text structure | 20 |
| Contact details | 10 |
| Essential sections | 15 |
| Job-description terms | 30 |
| Evidence and action verbs | 15 |
| Text length and readability | 10 |
If you don't provide a job description, the keyword category is not assessed and the remaining category points are normalized to a 100-point indicator. A job-description match checks vocabulary overlap and a few common skill aliases. It can't validate whether you truly know a skill.
What this checker cannot tell you
It cannot reproduce an employer's screening rules, evaluate PDF graphics or tables from extracted text alone, assess whether an achievement is truthful, or predict interview selection. A resume made entirely from scanned images may have little extractable text unless OCR is used elsewhere.
How to interpret suggestions
Fix real problems, use plain section headings, describe coursework and projects if you're a fresher, and include job-description language only where you have actual evidence. Do not add made-up skills or numerical claims to raise a score.
