How to resize without guessing

4 steps
01 · Check your form

Read the official notice: file type, maximum (and minimum) KB, size in pixels or cm, and background rules.

02 · Choose the limits

Pick Photo or Signature, the KB limit and the size. For cm or inches, choose the DPI your form mentions.

03 · Adjust

Drag, zoom or rotate so the face or signature sits well. For signatures, clean up the background.

04 · Preview, then download

See the exact final KB and pixels. If it misses your limit, we tell you what to change.

Common questions

Can you make my photo exactly 50 KB?

We keep the file at or below your chosen KB limit at the highest quality that fits. If the limit is impossible at your pixel size, we say so instead of giving you a file that will be rejected.

My form gives the size in cm, not pixels. What do I do?

Choose cm (or mm or inches) as the unit and pick a DPI. We convert it to pixels and show the final size, for example 3.5 × 4.5 cm at 300 DPI is 413 × 531 px. If your form lists pixels, use pixels.

Which DPI should I choose?

Use the DPI your form mentions. If it doesn't mention one, 300 DPI is the usual print quality. A higher DPI means more pixels and a bigger file.

My form has a minimum and a maximum size, like 10–20 KB.

Tick “My form also needs a minimum size” and enter it. If the result comes out too small, increase the width and height or use a clearer photo. We never pad files with junk data.

Why can't it make 5 KB?

Very small limits only work with small pixel sizes. Lower the width and height, use JPG, or tick “allow slightly smaller pixels” and we'll reduce the size step by step.

How does signature cleanup work?

It turns the paper pure white, makes the ink dark and trims empty space around your signature. Use the ink slider if faint strokes disappear or paper shadows show up.

Are the form presets official?

Only presets listed under “Checked form presets” come from an official notice, with the date we checked it. Rules change, so always confirm on the current notice.

Will my photo be uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser. The finished file is kept in this browser only for the download step.

My iPhone photo doesn't work.

iPhones save photos as HEIC by default. Go to Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible, or share the photo as JPG, then try again.

Also try Compress PDF to a size, Passport photo sheet or checked form-size rules.
