What would your professors say you need to improve?
Share one honest point a teacher or mentor actually raised, such as speaking up more in class or writing shorter reports, and describe the steps you have taken since. Feedback plus action is the full answer.
Explain it simply
This is the weakness question asked through a third person. It is harder to dodge, because the interviewer imagines calling your professor.
Think of real feedback you have received in viva, project reviews or internship evaluations. Choose something that is not a core requirement of the job, and describe what you did about it. Showing you accept feedback is the real point.
Example
Situation: Aditya's project guide told him his presentations were too long and full of text.
Task: Turn that feedback into a strong answer.
Action: He says: "My guide said my slides were crowded and I ran over time in reviews. After that I followed a rule of one idea per slide and practised with a timer. In the final review I finished in eight minutes out of ten, and the panel spent the rest of the time on questions about our results."
Result: The interviewer hears accepted feedback, a clear fix and a result.
What to say in the interview
"My guide told me X. I worked on it by doing Y, and in the next review Z happened."
Common mistakes
- Claiming professors had no criticism at all.
- Blaming the professor for being strict.
- Picking something the job heavily depends on.
