- How do you enter a group discussion when others keep talking over each other?
Wait for a small pause, use a bridging phrase like "Adding to that point", speak clearly and briefly, and back your point with a fact or example. Calm, relevant contributions matter more than volume.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - How do you keep your manager updated on your work?
Share short, regular updates on what is done, what is next and any blockers, raise problems early rather than at the deadline, and use whatever channel the team prefers, such as stand-ups, tickets or a quick message.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - How do you summarise or conclude a group discussion?
Briefly restate the main viewpoints raised, mention any agreement the group reached, and avoid adding new points or pushing only your own opinion. Keep it under a minute.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - How should you start a group discussion?
If you open, define the topic briefly, give its context and two or three sides of the issue, and invite others in. Only start if you understand the topic; a weak opening hurts more than a strong later entry.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - What would you do if a client asked you a question you could not answer?
Be honest that you do not know yet, tell them when you will get back, find the answer from the right person or source, and reply on time. Never guess on facts that matter.
BeginnerQuick answer1 min read - How would you explain a technical concept to a non-technical client?
Find out what they need to decide or understand, avoid jargon, use an everyday comparison, focus on what it means for their business, and check whether they understood. Keep it short.
IntermediateQuick answer1 min read - What should you do if you know nothing about the group discussion topic?
Listen carefully for the first few minutes, note the points being made, then contribute through reasoning, everyday examples, questions that move the discussion or a summary. Never invent facts.
IntermediateQuick answer1 min read - What would you do if you realised you were going to miss a deadline?
Tell your lead as early as possible, explain the reason and how much is done, propose options such as a smaller first version, help or a new date, and then deliver on what you agree.
IntermediateQuick answer1 min read - What would you do if your team lead and the client gave you conflicting instructions?
Do not pick one side on your own. Note both instructions clearly, inform your lead right away, and let the lead or manager align with the client. Continue only on what is agreed, and confirm it in writing.
