  • Latest Update (April 2026): The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially released the complete notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical) for Panel Year 2026.Eligible engineering candidates can submit their online applications from 16 April 2026 to 06 May 2026 through the official RBI careers portal. Eligibility Criteria – RBI JE 2026

CriteriaDetails
Age Limit (As on 01/04/2026)20 to 30 Years (Born between 02/04/1996 and 01/04/2006). Upper age relaxations apply: SC/ST (5 Yrs), OBC (3 Yrs), PwBD (10 Yrs).
Education (Civil)Minimum three years Diploma in Civil Engineering with 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) OR Degree in Civil Engineering with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Education (Electrical)Minimum three years Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronic Engineering with 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) OR Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronic Engineering with 55% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Work ExperienceAt least 2 years experience for Diploma holders OR at least 1-year experience for Degree holders in execution/supervision of construction/installations OR a 1-year graduate apprenticeship training in a PSU.

Salary & Perks

  • Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹47,700/- per month (₹29,000/- plus nine advance increments). The initial monthly Gross Emoluments for a Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical) is approximately ₹91,309/-. Perks include HRA (15% if no quarters provided), medical reimbursement, LFC, and housing/personal loans at concessional rates.
