Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF):Ph.D. degree with research focus on Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) or Information Technology / IT Enabled Services (IT/ITES).Ph.D. must be from a recognized institution with first class at every earlier level (in terms of grades) and a good academic record throughout.Ph.D. must have been completed within the past 5 years (counted from 18 November 2026).Candidates who earned their Ph.D. from the University of Allahabad are not eligible.Upper age limit: 40 years on the date of application submission.Applicants must be Indian citizens.Researchers with proven academic record including peer-reviewed publications and recognitions.Applicants in regular employment are not eligible; scientists/researchers in temporary academic or research posts may apply but must resign if selected.Previous recipients of this fellowship under the scheme are not eligible.Preference: Candidates with active industry links and research proposals addressing industry-specific problems.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Stage I – Screening Test: Conducted offline, exclusively at the University of Allahabad campus. Based on the ESDM or IT/ITES research domain. A list of shortlisted candidates for interview will be announced based on test results (tentatively on 21.11.2026).
• Stage II – Personal Interview: Conducted by a panel of experts. May be held on the same day as Stage I or the next day.
• Selection is subject to the interview panel's recommendation and approval by the Competent Authority. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the screening test or interview. The university may revise, reschedule, cancel or suspend the process without notice; its decision is final and no appeal will be entertained.

3. What is the application fee for UoA Postdoctoral Fellowship Recruitment 2026?

• The application fee is Rs. 500/- for General/EWS/OBC candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates. The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online into Punjab National Bank (A/c: 1001000100222313, IFSC: PUNB0100100, Colonelganj, Allahabad, Account Holder: JK Institute PROF FEE AC), and the receipt attached to the application.

5. What is the salary structure for UoA Postdoctoral Fellowship?

• The monthly fellowship amount is Rs. 1,08,393. In addition, a contingency grant of Rs. 1,00,000 per year (paid pro rata) and travel support of up to Rs. 2,10,000 per year as per norms are provided.

6. What is the selection process?

• The selection consists of two stages: (1) an offline Screening Test at the University of Allahabad campus based on the ESDM or IT/ITES domain, followed by (2) a Personal Interview by a panel of experts. Shortlisted candidates for the screening test are expected to be announced on 21.11.2026 (tentative). No TA/DA is paid.
