Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must be Advocates enrolled in practice.
  • Eligibility must strictly adhere to the criteria fixed in the Bihar Law Officers (Engagement) Rules, 2023.
  • Candidates must provide details regarding their Enrolment Number, AOR Number, Length of Practice, Designated Senior Advocate status (if any), and Income Tax compliance for the last 3 years in the prescribed willingness format.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • A Selection Committee constituted under Rule 4 of the Bihar Law Officers (Engagement) Rules, 2023 will select and recommend advocates.
  • Submitting a willingness form does not guarantee engagement.
  • The decision of the Law Department, Government of Bihar in all matters regarding selection and engagement shall be final.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for any stage of the process.

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
  • All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets (Relevant Qualifications)
  • Self-attested photocopy of Advocates Enrolment Certificate
  • Identity Card issued by the Bar Association or State Bar Council
  • Copies of Income Tax Returns for the last three preceding years
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if applicable)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
  • Submission Method: Email ([email protected]), Speed Post, Courier, or By Hand to the Office of the Advocate General, Bihar, High Court, Patna.
