  • Note: Approximate CTC is Rs. 11.00 Lakhs per annum during training and Rs. 22.50 Lakhs per annum after regularization.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Educational Qualification: Full Time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) degree from a recognized University/Institute in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
  • Disciplines: Electrical: Electrical, Electrical (Power), Electrical & Electronics, Power Systems Engineering, Power Engineering (Electrical) Electronics: Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Electrical Communication, Telecommunication Engineering Civil: Civil Engineering Computer Science: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology
  • GATE Requirement: Candidates must have appeared and qualified in the corresponding paper of GATE 2027.
  • Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years as on 31.03.2027. Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Screening: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their valid GATE 2027 score.
  • Further Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will undergo Group Discussion and/or Interview as per the detailed notification.
  • Document Verification: Original documents will be verified.
  • Medical Examination: As per POWERGRID's medical fitness standards.
  • Service Agreement: Selected candidates must execute a service agreement bond to complete training and serve for at least three years post-absorption.
  • Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending any stage of the selection process.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • GATE 2027 Admit Card and Score Card.
  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth.
  • All original degree and consolidated mark sheets for the qualifying educational qualification.
  • Valid Category/Caste Certificate (OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST) in the prescribed Central Government format, if applicable.
  • Two recent passport-size photographs and valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card).
  • Experience certificates (if applicable).
  • Preserve all original documents for verification at every stage.

3. What is the application fee?

  • The non-refundable application fee is Rs. 500/- for General, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and EWS candidates. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempted from the fee.

5. What is the salary structure?

  • During the one-year training, the pay scale is Rs. 40,000 – 1,40,000 (IDA) with an approximate CTC of Rs. 11 Lakhs per annum. After absorption, the E2 scale is Rs. 50,000 – 1,60,000 (IDA) with an approximate CTC of Rs. 22.50 Lakhs per annum, plus other benefits.
