Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Post: Assistant Professor of Agril. Statistics – College of Forestry, Sirsi
  • Master's degree in Agricultural Statistics from an Indian University or equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University, with at least 55% marks (traditional system) / 60% (trimester system) / 70% (semester system) or equivalent grade.
  • Relaxation of 5% at Master's level for candidates specified in No. 2.4 of Guidelines No. R/R1G/R006/2022-23 dated 15.03.2023.
  • Cleared NET conducted by UGC / ICAR / CSIR or a similar UGC-accredited test like SLET / SET, or awarded a Ph.D as per UGC Guidelines 2009 or 2016 (candidates with Ph.D are exempted from NET/SLET/SET).
  • If no candidates with NET or Ph.D are available on the walk-in date, candidates holding only a Master's degree will be considered.
  • In case of non-availability of reserved category candidates, eligible candidates of other categories will be considered.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Selection will be based solely on a walk-in interview scheduled for 18 November 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Office of the Dean (Forestry), College of Forestry, Sirsi, Karnataka.
  • Candidates must attend the interview at their own expense; no TA/DA will be paid by the University.
  • Applications must not be sent in advance; candidates must appear in person with all original documents.
  • The notification is subject to final orders of the High Court, Bengaluru in Writ Petition Nos. 28612/2025 and 23399/2026 and subsequent Government orders.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Typed application in the prescribed proforma (two copies) with recent passport-size photographs affixed.
  • All original documents related to qualification (degree certificates, consolidated mark sheets).
  • Two sets of self-attested copies of all documents.
  • Valid caste / category certificate (if applicable) in prescribed format.
  • Experience certificates on official letterhead (if applicable).
  • NCC / NSS certificates (if applicable).
  • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).
  • Do not send the application in advance; attend the walk-in interview on 18 November 2026 at 11:00 AM.
