  • The consolidated remuneration of ₹1,00,000/- per month includes all statutory entitlements. No other allowances, housing accommodation, or additional benefits will be provided by the Institute.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Essential Qualification: MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
  • Desirable Qualification: Post Graduate Qualification, preferably MD in General Medicine, or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
  • Experience Preference: Preference will be given to experienced doctors.
  • CRRI Certificate: Certificate of Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) must be produced at the time of interview.
  • Age Limit: Maximum age must not exceed 50 years as on the date of the walk-in interview.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The appointment is through a walk-in interview scheduled on 16 October 2026, from 10:30 AM at the Board Room of the Administrative Building, NIT Jamshedpur, Adityapur, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand 831014.
  • Candidates must carry the duly filled prescribed application form (available on the official NIT Jamshedpur website) along with all original documents and one set of self-attested copies.
  • Verification of original certificates will be conducted before the interview — candidates will be interviewed only after original certificate verification is completed.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the walk-in interview.
  • Canvassing in any form or bringing outside influence will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Any dispute regarding the selection process is subject to the jurisdiction of the court or tribunal at Seraikela-Kharsawan only.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • 10th / Matriculation / SSLC Mark Sheet
  • +2 / HSC Mark Sheet
  • Consolidated Marksheet of Degree (MBBS / PG)
  • Degree Certificates, Registration Certificates, and Certificate of CRRI (Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship)
  • Experience Certificate (if any)
  • ID Proof (Aadhaar Card / Driving License / Passport / PAN Card or any Government-issued ID with address)
  • Self-attested photograph affixed on the application form
  • One set of self-attested copies of all original documents
  • Duly filled prescribed application form downloaded from the official website
  • Additional Instructions:
  • The appointment is purely temporary for an initial period of six months, which may be extended up to a maximum of one year based on performance or functional requirement.
  • One Casual Leave will be allowed for every completed 45 days of service; no other leave or benefits are allowed without permission of the Competent Authority.
  • Preference will be given to experienced doctors.
