Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Qualification: Candidates must have passed ITI in the relevant designated trade.
  • Age Limit: Minimum 14 years as on 3 December 2026.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Application submitted via NAPS portal.
  • Merit-based shortlisting using aggregate marks obtained in the ITI qualifying examination.
  • Preference Criteria: Reservation for eligible children of port employees (4:1:1 ratio).
  • Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents.
  • Final Trade Allotment: At the discretion of the Head of the Department.
  • Important: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the certificate verification. Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee future employment with VPA.
