Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Candidates with or without a valid GATE/NET who have at least 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA in both UG and PG (GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL). For SC/ST/PwD candidates: minimum 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA in both UG and PG. OR Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology with a CGPA of at least 7.5/10 or 70% marks (GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL). For SC/ST/PwD candidates: minimum CGPA of 7.0/10 or 65%. B.Tech/B.E or equivalent degree in ECE and M.Tech/M.E in ECE or equivalent, OR B.Tech/B.E or equivalent degree in ECE. Desirable: Understanding of digital communication, probability theory, optimization, wireless communications, and experience with MATLAB or Python. Age limit: 35 years as on 13.11.2026. Relaxation applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PwD/EWS as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Applications will be screened based on the eligibility criteria.
  • The Institute reserves the right to limit the number of candidates shortlisted for interview.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed (date, mode - online or offline - will be notified via email).
  • If no suitable candidate is found, no candidate may be recruited.
  • Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
  • All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets (B.Tech/B.E and M.Tech/M.E as applicable)
  • GATE/NET Score Card (if applicable)
  • Experience Certificates on Official Letterhead (if applicable)
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if applicable)
  • No-Objection Certificate from current employer (if employed)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
  • Instructions: Download the official notification and fill the application format (Annexure 01(A)-2), paste a photo, sign the declaration, and email the filled form along with your CV and all supporting documents to [email protected] with the subject line "Application for the post of JRF under the project TARANG/TTDF/6G/461" on or before 13 November 2026.
