Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The PSSSB Junior Engineer selection consists of two stages:
• Objective-Type Written Examination: Candidates will appear in a Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) written examination. A merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained.
• Counselling and Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling. All original supporting documents must be produced at this stage. Candidates are recommended to departments according to the common merit list and available vacancies.
• The examination originally scheduled for 18 October 2026 has been postponed. A revised date, admit card schedule, and examination pattern will be published separately on sssb.punjab.gov.in.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the examination or counselling.

5. What is the application fee for PSSSB JE Recruitment 2026?

• The fee is ₹1,500 for General/All Other Categories, ₹750 for SC/BC candidates of Punjab State, and ₹500 for EWS, PwD, Ex-Servicemen and LDESM of Punjab State. Fees are non-refundable and must be paid by 27 October 2026.

6. What is the salary for PSSSB Junior Engineer posts?

• Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical and Electrical) posts carry Pay Level-6 with an initial basic pay of ₹35,400 per month. Additional allowances will be governed by applicable Punjab Government instructions. The actual take-home salary may differ from the notified initial pay.
