Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Education: Graduate Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks AND Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) of minimum 3 years professional course with 50% marks, OR 5 years Integrated LLB Degree (Professional) with 50% marks.
  • Qualifying Body: Must be from UGC recognised Indian University/Deemed University or AICTE approved autonomous institution/statutory council.
  • Experience: Minimum 24 years of post-qualification executive experience. Out of these 24 years, minimum 16 years must be in legal function.
  • Law Firm Experience: Up to 8 years as an advocate in a Large Law Firm (turnover > Rs. 10 Crore) can be considered, subject to Bar Council enrolment.
  • Salary Criteria: Private sector candidates must have an annual CTC of Rs. 35 Lakhs or more. Government/PSU/PSB candidates must have experience in the next lower pay scale (E-7, Level 14, Scale VI). Apprenticeship training under Act 1961 counts.
  • Desirable: Master Degree in Law (LLM).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Group Discussion and/or Interview before the Selection Committee.
  • Minimum qualifying marks in Interview: 60%.
  • Minimum qualifying marks in Group Discussion/Writing exercise: 40%.
  • GAIL reserves the right to shortlist candidates by raising the eligibility standards if the volume of applications is very high.
  • Travel Allowance: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth.
  • All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets (LLB, Graduate, LLM if applicable).
  • Experience Certificates on Official Letterhead with CTC proof and Organisation size proof.
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in prescribed format (if applicable).
  • Printout of online application form, two recent passport-size photographs, and a valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).
  • Government/PSU employees must provide NOC or apply through proper channel.
