Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Mandatory Qualification: A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) from a College of Fisheries under an Agricultural University recognized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi.
  • Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
  • Age Limit: Minimum 21 years as on 01 August 2026. Upper age limit varies: 37 years for Unreserved males, 40 years for Unreserved females and BC/EBC candidates, 42 years for SC/ST candidates. Relaxations apply for PwBD, in-service employees, ex-servicemen, and contractual service.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Selection is based on a competitive Computer Based Test (CBT) and marks for relevant work experience:
  • CBT: 100 objective MCQ questions (100 marks) in Hindi and English, 2-hour duration. Negative marking: +1 for correct, -0.25 for wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks: 30% for all categories.
  • Work Experience: Up to 25 marks for contractual service on the same post in Bihar Government/statutory bodies, prorated per year.
  • Merit Calculation: CBT percentage multiplied by 0.75, plus experience marks.
  • Final Stage: Category-wise merit list of qualified candidates for Document Verification.
  • Note: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.

  • Original Matriculation (10th) certificate for date of birth proof.
  • B.F.Sc. degree certificate and all-year mark sheets or provisional certificate.
  • Caste/domicile/EWS/PwBD/freedom fighter/work-experience certificates as applicable.
