Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Minimum Essential Qualification: M.Tech., B.Tech., MCA, M.Sc., or any Graduate Degree from a recognised university/institution.
  • Desirable Experience: Basic knowledge of drone flying, PCB design, or 3D printing.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 50 years as on the date of the notification. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms for reserved categories.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection for the Field Worker Staff post at IIT (BHU) Varanasi will be carried out in the following stages:
  • Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications, experience, and suitability for the project. The Principal Investigator, Dr. Hari Prabhat Gupta, reserves the discretion to restrict the number of candidates called for interview to a reasonable limit.
  • Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be notified by email to appear for the interview. Candidates must carry original certificates and self-attested copies of all documents for verification at the time of the interview.
  • Important Note: No TA/DA (Travel Allowance / Dearness Allowance) will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.

How to Apply for IIT (BHU) Field Worker Staff

  • Download and fill the application form strictly as per the format attached in the IIT (BHU) Field Worker Staff Official Notification PDF.
  • Gather self-attested copies of all required certificates and documents.
  • Submit the completed application and documents via the Google Form link provided in the official notification.
  • Email the application to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Hari Prabhat Gupta, at the email address specified in the notification, and CC to the secondary email address.
  • Write "Application for Field-Worker-Oct-2026" in the subject line of the email.
  • All applications must reach on or before 2 November 2026.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate or Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth.
  • All relevant degree certificates and consolidated mark sheets.
  • Self-attested copies of all educational and experience certificates.
  • Experience certificates related to drone flying, PCB design, or 3D printing (if applicable).
  • Valid category / caste certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if claiming age relaxation).
  • Two recent passport-size photographs and a valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).
