Eligibility for Sub-Inspector (Telecommunication)

• Essential Qualification: Refer to Annexure-A of the official notification (Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification strictly on or before the cut-off date: 13/01/2026).
• Domicile: Must be a Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
• Experience: Refer to official notification.

Age Limit (As on 01/01/2025)

• Open Merit / Reserved Categories: 18 to 28 Years.
• In-Service Police Personnel: 18 to 30 Years.
• Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation applicable as per rules (Deduct service period from actual age; should not exceed max age by more than 3 years).
• Relaxation: Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Govt. norms.

Selection Process

• The selection process consists of the following stages:
• Written Examination: Objective Type (MCQs), English Medium, Negative Marking applicable.
• Bonus Marks: Awarded for NCC Certificates (C: 5%, B: 3%, A: 2%).
• Physical Standard Test (PST): Candidates shortlisted 6 times the vacancy ratio.
• Physical Endurance Test (PET): Qualifying in nature.
• Document Verification (DV): Original documents check.
• Medical Examination.

Physical Standards

• Male: Height: 5’-6” (Min), Chest: 32” (Unexpanded) / 33.5” (Expanded).
• Female: Height: 5’-2” (Min).
• Relaxation: Available for Gorkha and Bot Tribe communities (2”).

• General / OBC / Others: Rs. 700/-
• SC / ST-1 / ST-2 / EWS: Rs. 600/-
