  • Note: The 9% House Rent Allowance (HRA) is calculated on the basic fellowship amount. The total monthly emolument is approximately Rs. 70,850/-.

Postdoctoral Fellow (1 Vacancy)

  • Essential Qualification: Ph.D. degree in the area of Lasers / Quantum Optics, OR candidates who have completed their Ph.D. thesis submission (with a valid thesis submission certificate) in the same area.
  • Recency Requirement: The candidate must have completed their Ph.D. (or thesis submission) within the past 5 years from the date of the application.
  • Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Upper Age Limit: Candidates must be below 40 years of age as on the last date of submission of the application (25 October 2026).
  • Additional Requirements: A detailed CV describing prior research and industrial experience, an overview of PhD work, a separate sheet listing publications and patents, and a recommendation letter from the PhD Supervisor or other mentors are mandatory.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Application Screening: All received applications will be screened by the selection committee to verify eligibility against the prescribed criteria (Ph.D. area, recency, age limit).
