Educational Qualification
- Graduation from a recognised university with Psychology as a subject, or
- Graduation with Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent.
- Male and female Indian citizens (including subjects of Nepal or Bhutan).
Age Limit (as on 27/10/2026)
- 20 to 25 years – born between 28/10/2001 and 27/10/2006.
- Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC (NCL) 3 years, departmental candidates 5 years, ex-servicemen as per rules.

- City classes (HRA): X = Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Greater Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune. Y and Z cities are as listed by the Department of Expenditure (OM 21.07.2015). HRA is not paid if you live in government quarters.
- DA: 63% of basic pay, the central rate from 1 Jul 2026.

- Phase I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST).
- Phase II: Written examination (100 marks); category-wise merit list.
- Phase III: Verification of original documents.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME); tie broken by older age, then alphabetical order.
