Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must be 18 to 45 years of age as on 1 January 2026. Qualifications are strictly post-wise.
  • English & Mathematics Teacher: M.A/M.Sc. in the subject with 50% marks at Graduation level. B.Ed with the subject as compulsory (B.A.B.Ed./B.Com.B.Ed/B.Sc.B.Ed are eligible) and a minimum of 50% in Graduation and 55% in the subject at Graduation level. Must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by HPBOSE or an authorized agency. (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates: 45% in Graduation/B.Ed and 50% in the subject).
  • Teacher (Hindi, Political Science, History, Economics): Master's Degree in the subject concerned (minimum 50% aggregate). B.Ed with minimum 50% marks. Passed TET. Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English. Relaxation of up to 5% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories of Himachal Pradesh.
  • Other Subject Teachers (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc.): Master's Degree in the specific subject (e.g., Physics/Electronics/Nuclear Physics for Physics, Economics/Applied Economics for Economics) with 50% aggregate, B.Ed, and TET. Refer to the official notification for full post-wise specifications.
  • Note: Candidates must be registered on the One Time Registration (OTR) portal before filling the Online Recruitment Application (ORA).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection of candidates for the 2423 teaching posts will be carried out through the following stages:
  • Written Screening Test: Candidates will appear for a Computer Based Test (CBT) or an OMR based test. Scores in multiple shifts will be normalized using the Z-Score Method.
  • Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted based on the written test will be called for document verification to prepare the merit list and category-wise waiting panel.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 45% for General Category, and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/Wards of Freedom Fighters.
  • Allocation: Allocation of posts will be based on Merit-cum-Option-cum-Availability, where candidates can submit their department/district preferences in writing during document verification. The waiting list panel will be valid for one year. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the test or document verification.

  • Candidates must carry the following original and self-attested documents during the document verification stage:
  • Downloaded copy of the online application form (ORA)
  • Original certificates for all educational qualifications and TET
  • Self-attested photocopies of all certificates
  • Valid category certificates (OBC (NCL), BPL/EWS, Ward of Freedom Fighters) in Central/State prescribed format if applicable
  • Written declaration regarding any past conviction and particulars of all criminal cases/FIRs
  • Valid Government-issued Photo ID (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)

What is the salary structure for HPRCA Teachers?

  • Selected candidates will receive a fixed honorarium/remuneration of Rs. 30,000 per month, payable for 10 months in an academic year. This is a monthly fixed amount and does not include additional HRA or other allowances.
