Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Sr. Project Scientist (2 posts): PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Science, or a closely related quantitative field; OR M.Tech. with first class or equivalent. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience required for M.Tech. holders.
  • Sr. Research Fellow / SRF (1 post): Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science; OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course. Selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship) and GATE. Minimum 2 years of research experience.
  • Desirable Skills for Both Posts:
  • Proven experience with AI for classifying biological datasets.
  • Experience in designing, training, and validating AI/ML architectures.
  • Experience in maintaining rigorous code repositories (GitHub / GitLab).
  • Experience in omics data analysis – single-cell and bulk RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, spatial omics, proteomics, metabolomics, genomics, imaging data, or clinical data.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Shortlisting of candidates based on application and eligibility criteria.
  • In-person interview at ICGEB, New Delhi for shortlisted candidates.
  • Only shortlisted / selected candidates will be informed individually.
  • No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for attending the interview. Selected candidates must make their own accommodation arrangements.

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth.
  • All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets (relevant qualifications).
  • Experience Certificates on official letterhead (if applicable).
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if applicable).
  • Self-attested copies of all certificates to be attached with the application form.
  • Two recent passport-size photographs & Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).
