Eligibility Criteria (As on 01.08.2026)

• Note: Detailed qualification norms for Physical Education, Music, Fine Arts, Dance, and Special School Teacher categories are specified in the official notification's Annexures (Parishisht-1 & 2). Candidates must be Indian citizens.
• Educational Qualification:Post-specific qualifications as detailed in the eligibility table. All qualifications must be from recognized universities/institutions. Equivalence of degrees will be decided by the Department in consultation with NCTE.
• Age Limit:Minimum 21 years as on 01.08.2026. Maximum age varies by category (UR Male: 37, UR Female/BC/EBC: 40, SC/ST: 42). Relaxations for Divyang (10 years) and Ex-Servicemen (Service period + 3 years).
• Exam Fee (Online Payment):
• One Paper: ₹960 (General/EWS/BC/EBC) / ₹760 (SC/ST/Divyang).
• Both Papers: ₹1,440 (General/EWS/BC/EBC) / ₹1,140 (SC/ST/Divyang).
