Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Interested candidates applying for the post of Commissioner must fulfill the following requirements:
• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Must achieve a minimum qualifying score in the Mizo language Proficiency test as prescribed by the Government.
• Desirable Qualification: Master's degree from a recognized institution in Social Work, Law, Management, Human Rights, Rehabilitation, or Education of Persons with Disabilities.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in specified types of organizations at senior levels (Group 'A' level in Govt/PSU, senior functionary in Voluntary Organizations, or Senior Executive in private sector) dealing with social development/disability matters.
• Critical Requirement: Out of the total 10 years, at least 3 years in the immediate past must be in the field of empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
• Age Limit: Should not have attained the age of 62 years as on the last date of receipt of applications (12.11.2026).
• Service Condition: Serving Government servants must seek retirement from service before appointment to this post.
