  • IPDF Fellowship slabs (by post-PhD experience):
  • Less than 1 year: Rs. 60,000 per month
  • 1 year or more but less than 2 years: Rs. 65,000 per month
  • 2 years or more: Rs. 70,000 per month
  • Additional benefits: Contingency grant of Rs. 30,000 per annum for consumables, conference travel, and publication charges (unused amount carried forward). Institute accommodation provided against a license fee (subject to availability); HRA as per GOI norms if accommodation is unavailable.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Screening: A Screening Committee shortlists applicants based on set criteria. These norms may vary across departments and are binding on all applicants. Meeting minimum qualification does not guarantee a call for interview. The Institute reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates called for interview based on qualifications, research outputs, area of expertise, and experience higher than prescribed.
  • Technical Presentation & Interview: Shortlisted candidates attend a personal/technical interview before the Selection Committee with a technical presentation. The date and time are informed only through the institute website or email. Web interviews are held for overseas candidates.
  • Document Verification: Originals of all documents and valid photo ID (Passport / Voter ID / PAN Card / Aadhaar Card / Government-issued ID) with a photocopy must be produced at the technical presentation and interview. Without valid ID proof, entry is denied.
  • Medical Examination: Appointment is subject to being declared physically fit by the Institute's medical Board / Senior Medical Officer / Medical Officer.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to candidates called for interview. Candidates attend entirely at their own cost. An interview invitation indicates only suitability and provides no assurance of selection. The decision of the Selection Committee is final. Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification. Any false or misleading information or concealed facts can lead to disqualification at any stage and cancellation of appointment.

  • Prepare the application form with full details of teaching, research, and industrial experience and achievements.
  • Sign each page of the application form and appendices; affix your signature and photograph on the form.
  • Enclose self-attested photocopies of only the relevant documents issued by the competent authority.
  • Email the completed application form to the Dean of Faculty Affairs at [email protected] on or before 14 December 2026 (05:00 PM).
  • Send a separate application for each department if applying for positions in more than one department.
  • Self-attested photocopies of relevant documents must be produced for verification at the time of interview. Fresh enclosures after the last date will not be entertained.
  • OBC and EWS certificates, where applicable, must have been issued on or after 01 April 2026.
  • Candidates serving in Govt./Semi-Govt./PSU/other Govt.-aided autonomous bodies must apply through proper channel or furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the start of the selection process. An advance copy marked "Advance Copy" may be sent before the last date, but candidature is not considered without NOC at the start of selection.
  • An incomplete application form will be rejected.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Completed Application Form with every page signed and photograph affixed
  • Self-attested photocopies of all relevant degree certificates and consolidated mark sheets (Bachelor's, Master's, PhD)
  • PhD Degree / Award Certificate (or proof of thesis submission — award certificate must be produced before joining)
  • Certificates for minimum 3 SCI/SSCI/SCIE publications with at least 1 in a Q1 journal (for IPDF)
  • Experience certificates on official letterhead from recognized institutions (if applicable)
  • Valid Category / EWS / OBC-NCL certificate issued on or after 01 April 2026 (if applicable)
  • Valid photo ID proof: Passport / Voter ID / PAN Card / Aadhaar Card / Government-issued photo ID
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer, if serving in Govt./Semi-Govt./PSU (required at start of selection process)
