Overview of the OREDA CEO Deputation Vacancy

Mandatory Eligibility Requirements

• Candidate must be currently serving in the State Government of Odisha or a State Public Sector Undertaking.
• Must have held the rank of Special Secretary, Executive Director, Chief General Manager or equivalent in Pay Matrix Level-17 for a minimum continuous period of 5 years.
• Must possess a minimum of 30 years of professional experience in relevant domains.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in project approval, land acquisition, and execution of large infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
• Candidate should have adequate knowledge of applicable statutory and regulatory clearances.
• Candidate must not exceed 60 years of age as on the last date of application (16 October 2026).

Desirable Qualifications

• Engineering background with an MBA qualification will be preferred during the deputation selection process.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection for the post of CEO is made purely on deputation basis from among eligible and experienced officers of the Government of Odisha and State Public Sector Undertakings who satisfy all the prescribed rank, service tenure, age, and domain experience criteria.
• Screening: Applications will be scrutinised by a competent authority / selection committee to verify eligibility against the prescribed criteria including rank held, years of service at Level-17, project execution experience, and age.
• Forwarding Requirement: The application must be forwarded by the candidate's parent department or organisation with a certificate from the competent authority confirming eligibility for deputation.
