Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): Master's Degree in Sciences or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering or Technology Streams: Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Computer, Information Technology. Candidates must have exposure to one or more areas of ICS and SCADA and a Power System background.
• Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Qualification prescribed for JRF with a minimum of two years of research experience. Candidates must have exposure to one or more areas of ICS and SCADA and a Power System background.
• Desirable Qualification (Both Posts): Knowledge of Hardware/Embedded security. Working knowledge in PSSE or PSCAD along with MTech in Power.
• Experience Rule: The period of experience in a discipline or area of work is counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualification. A candidate claiming an equivalent qualification must produce the order or letter with the authority's number and date; otherwise, the application will be rejected.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Shortlisting (if applicable): If a large number of candidates apply, the Selection/Screening Committee may shortlist candidates based on a written examination, percentage of marks, desirable qualification or experience, higher qualification, or any other criteria it considers fit.
• Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by email of the exact date and time of the physical or virtual interview. The interview date is not yet announced in the notification.
• Document Verification: Selected candidates must produce original certificates and mark sheets at the interview.
• Offer & Joining: Selected candidates are expected to join within fifteen days from receiving the offer of appointment, after pre-appointment formalities including document verification.
• Transport Allowance: No TA (Travel Allowance) will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Certificates of educational qualifications, experience, date of birth, and category – combined into a single PDF file for online upload.
• For a claimed equivalent qualification: the order or letter with the authority's number and date.
• Original copies of all certificates and mark sheets to be produced at the interview.
• How to Apply: Open the online application form (Google Form) linked in the VJTI CoE-CNDS JRF & SRF Official Notification PDF, upload the combined documents PDF, and submit on or before 16 November 2026.
• For technical difficulties with the online application, candidates may write to Dr. Faruk Kazi at [email protected] with a screenshot of the error.
• The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. There is no claim to absorption, regularization, or extension after the fellowship expires.
• Either side may terminate the engagement with one month's notice or stipend/salary in lieu thereof.
• No on-campus accommodation facilities are available.
