  • Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur has published a single temporary Research Associate position under the Department of Bioscience and Biotechnology. This post is funded under a sponsored research project titled "Microbial solutions for sustainable and regenerative agriculture: improvement of nitrogen and phosphorous flux" (Project Code – C/SNPF), sponsored by Cropcoin Technologies Private Limited, BiharSharif, Nalanda, Bihar.

Research Associate (RA) – Required Qualification

  • Candidates must hold a Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree; OR
  • Candidates having 3 years of research, teaching, and design/development experience after MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper published in a Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Age Limit

  • The upper age limit is 35 years as on the last date of the advertisement.
  • Age relaxation may be granted upon fulfilling sponsor agency rules, if any.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on academic qualifications, research experience, and publication record.
  • Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at IIT Kharagpur.
  • Mere possession of minimum qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview.
  • No Travel Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate or Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
  • All Degree Certificates and Consolidated Mark Sheets for Relevant Qualifications (Ph.D./MD/MS/MDS or MVSc/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech)
  • Proof of at least one SCI-indexed research publication (if applying through the experience route)
  • Experience Certificates on Official Letterhead from Recognized Institutions (if applicable)
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if claiming age relaxation)
  • Two recent passport-size photographs and Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN)
  • Qualifications and experience prescribed are minimum requirements; mere possession does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
