How to Apply for JU Finance Officer

• Download the blank application form in pdf format from the JU website, www.jadavpuruniversity.in, and fill it in.
• Pay the application fee of Rs. 500 as indicated on the JU website. From within India, the options are net banking, debit / credit / Rupay card, or a challan for cash payment at SBI branches. Use any one of them.
• Keep the printout of the payment receipt or challan. The payment link closes at 4.00 p.m. on 25.11.2026.
• Prepare seven hard copies of the complete application form (the notice also says one original and seven photocopies), with all enclosures including attested or self-attested photocopies of all certificates and testimonials (in a single copy).
• Write the name of the post applied for and the Advertisement Number on the envelope.
• Send the application by post under Certificate of Posting, preferably by Registered Post, to: Vice-Chancellor, Jadavpur University, Aurobindo Bhavan, 188, Raja S.C. Mallick Road, Jadavpur, Kolkata – 700 032.
• Alternatively, hand it in at the Information Office on any working day between 11.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
• Those who wish to apply for more than one post must apply separately and pay fees accordingly. Candidates who applied earlier for Finance Officer (Advt. No. A2/C/2/2025 dt. 12.11.2025) need not apply again. They may send updated information to the Vice-Chancellor by e-mail at [email protected] or by hard copy within the stipulated timeline.

Selection and Interview

• Essential qualifications are the minimum, and mere possession of them does not entitle an applicant to be called for interview. If many applications are received, the Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates called for interview on the basis of qualifications, experience and other credentials, or by any other suitable method it decides. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview at the postal and e-mail address registered during application. Shortlisted candidates must be present physically before the Selection Committee on the day of the interview, with no exception. Photocopies of all testimonials and certificates must be submitted at the interview (if called), and the originals will be required for verification. The notice does not give an interview date. Updates will appear on the JU website.

Q3. What is the qualification for JU Finance Officer?

• A Master's Degree in Commerce/Finance with minimum 55% marks, and a Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant or equivalent professional qualification, or a Master's Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance. 15 years of finance management experience is also required.

Q4. What is the age limit for JU Finance Officer?

• The age must be not less than 40 years. It is relaxable in case of exceptionally qualified candidates. Age is counted up to the last date of submission of application.
