- Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal has reopened online applications for the Group-3 Combined Recruitment Examination 2026 (Second) for 1,700 posts of Sub Engineer (Upyantri), Draftsman/Cartographer, Laboratory Technician and equivalent Group 3 posts. The reopen window is 13 October 2026 to 27 October 2026. Category-wise Vacancy (Total: 1,700)
- Posts span about 131 post codes in MP departments, directorates and polytechnics, including Sub Engineer, Draftsman/Cartographer, Laboratory Technician, Technical Assistant, Surveyor and Mineral Surveyor. The indent is provisional. Post-code wise numbers are in the rulebook PDF.
Eligibility
- Most posts need a three-year diploma or a degree in the branch named for that post code: Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication, Fashion Technology, Architecture, Modern Office Management, Hotel Management, Agriculture Engineering, Textile Design, Automobile, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mining/Civil, or ITI Craftsman (Civil) where specified. Check first-class and branch conditions for your post code in the PDF.
- You must be an Indian citizen (Nepalese citizens only with the certificate required under the MP Civil Services Recruitment Rules, 1961) and hold a live registration at a Madhya Pradesh employment office. Non-domicile candidates may apply only against unreserved vacancies and do not get reservation or age relaxation.
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026)
- Open competition: 18 to 40 years. MP-domiciled SC/ST/OBC, government/corporation/board employees, Home Guards, PwBD and women: 18 to 45 years. EWS candidates do not get age relaxation. After all relaxations the maximum is 45 years, except contractual employees and categories named in Rule 14 of the notification.

- City classes (HRA): X = Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Greater Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune. Y and Z cities are as listed by the Department of Expenditure (OM 21.07.2015). HRA is not paid if you live in government quarters.
- State post: DA uses the 58% rate set for this page; check the state's latest DA order. HRA is shown at X/Y/Z percentages as an estimate, and state HRA rules can differ. State transport/conveyance allowance is not included.
- Pension: NPS is shown at 10%. A few states have moved back to the old pension scheme; if so, there is no NPS deduction.

Exam Pattern
- Single computer-based test, 200 marks. One mark per correct answer; 0.25 deducted per wrong answer.
- Technical paper codes A to N cover Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, CSE, ECE, Fashion, Architecture, Office Management, Hotel Management, Agriculture Engineering, Textile, Automobile, RAC and ITI Craftsman (Civil).

Selection Method
- Selection is on the single CBT. Reach the centre by the reporting window on the admit card: about 7:00–8:00 AM for shift 1 and 12:30–1:30 PM for shift 2. Late entry is not allowed.
