  • The post is for a fixed tenure of two years on contract. Accommodation within the IIT Tirupati campus may be provided on payment basis, subject to availability. A Certificate of Experience will be issued to candidates completing at least one year of internship.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Both of the following qualifications are required simultaneously for the Junior Library Executive post:
  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent).
  • Master's Degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS) with a minimum of 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent).
  • Year of MLIS Completion: Only candidates who completed the Master's Degree in Library & Information Science in 2024, 2025 or 2026 will be considered.
  • Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST: Up to 5 years
  • OBC-NCL: Up to 3 years
  • PwD: 10 years

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a written test, practical test, or interview. Eligible candidates will be informed about the selection process by email. The tentative date for the written test and trade test/discussion is 10 December 2026. Mere fulfilment of the qualifications does not entitle a candidate to be called for the test.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the written test, practical test, or interview.
  • Canvassing in any form will lead to immediate disqualification of the candidate.
  • The Institute reserves the right to select or not to select candidates for the advertised position.
  • If an inadvertent mistake in the selection process is detected at any stage, even after the appointment letter is issued, the Institute reserves the right to modify, withdraw or cancel any communication made to candidates.

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
  • Bachelor's Degree Certificate (any discipline with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA)
  • Master's Degree in Library & Information Science (MLIS) Certificate and All Marksheets
  • Recent Passport-size Photograph and Scanned Signature
  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in Central Government prescribed format (if applicable)
  • Experience Certificate on Official Letterhead (if applicable)
  • All documents must be uploaded as indicated in the online Google Form at the time of application submission.
