Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Professional Qualification: Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) OR Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI-CMA, formerly ICWAI).
  • For Absorption: Officers of Major Ports holding analogous posts or Dy. Chief Accounts Officer and equivalent posts in Finance Deptt. with prescribed regular service (3 years in Rs. 13000-18250 scale OR 2 years in Rs. 13000-18250 scale with combined 7 years service in Rs. 10750-16750 & Rs. 13000-18250 scales).
  • For Direct Recruitment: Twelve (12) years experience in executive cadre in Finance, Accounting in industrial/commercial/Govt. Undertaking.
  • Performance Rating: Overall APAR grading not below 'Very Good'.
  • Age Limit: Maximum 42 years as on 1 January 2027.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Selection is based strictly on merit.
  • Screening is done by the Services Selection Committee of the Mumbai Port Authority.
  • The benchmark for selection is an overall APAR grading not below 'Very Good'.
  • Officials withdrawing after selection are liable for two years debarment from Dy. HoD level posts in all Major Port Authorities.
  • TA/DA will not be paid for the selection process.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Certified copies of APARs for the last 5 years (2020-21 to 2024-25), attested on each page.
  • Attested photocopies of educational and work experience certificates.
  • No objection certificate and administrative clearance from the administrative Port.
  • Undertaking not to withdraw candidature if selected.
  • Two passport size photographs.
  • Applications must be submitted through the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Online Application Portal (OAP) followed by hard copy forwarding through the administrative Port.
