Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Assistant Professor (Horticulture): Master's Degree in Horticulture with NET recognized by the Kerala Agricultural University and a minimum of 55% marks. In the absence of NET-qualified candidates, applicants with a PhD or Master's Degree in Horticulture recognized by KAU will be considered. Teaching experience in the concerned discipline is desirable.
  • Age Limit: The maximum age for this walk-in interview is 50 years. Age relaxation as per existing Government of India / Kerala State rules will be granted to eligible candidates.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection will be based on a Walk-in Interview to be held on 15 October 2026 at the KAU Campus, Vellanikkara, Thrissur, Kerala.
  • Candidates must report at the designated venue with all original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification.
  • A duly filled application form, if required by the notification, must be carried to the interview venue.
  • If the number of eligible candidates exceeds the sanctioned post, the Selection Committee may impose additional screening criteria (such as a written test or higher merit in post-graduation) to shortlist candidates for the final interview.
  • No TA/DA will be paid to candidates attending the walk-in interview.

  • Original Matriculation (10th) Certificate / Birth Certificate as Proof of Date of Birth
  • All Degree and Consolidated Mark Sheets for Post Graduate Degree in Horticulture

  • Valid Category / Caste Certificate in the prescribed format (if applicable for age relaxation)
