• IIT Hyderabad has announced 2 vacancies under the ICMR-funded project titled “AI-assisted 3D Vein Viewer: Portable NIR stereovision device using AI-based depth mapping to guide clinicians in safe, accurate IV access and jugular cannulation for challenging patients.”

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Project Technical Support-III (Non-Medical): M.Sc. in Physics / Biomedical Science, or B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering, or related areas.
• Project Technical Support-I (Non-Medical): Three-year undergraduate degree in Science (preferably Physics specialization), or Diploma in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering, or related areas.
• Desirable Qualifications (Support-III): Prior research/laboratory experience in instrumentation, biomedical device development, optics/imaging, electronics, embedded systems, CAD/3D printing, data analysis, or related fields will be preferred.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Shortlisting: Candidates will be screened based on academic record and relevant experience.
• Online Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an online interview.
• Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview call. The Principal Investigator reserves the right not to fill the position if no suitable candidate is found. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Key Instructions

• The appointment is on a temporary basis for 11 months, commencing as soon as possible.
• The contract is extendable for up to 3 additional years, subject to performance and availability of funding.
• This is a purely contractual / project-based appointment and does not confer any permanent government job security or pension benefits.

5. What salary will be offered?

• Project Technical Support-I receives Rs. 18,000 + 30% HRA per month. Project Technical Support-III receives Rs. 28,000 + 30% HRA per month. The HRA rate is 30% as applicable for the location.
