Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Research Associate: Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Life Science, Biotechnology, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields. Alternatively, Master's degree with 1st Division (60%) and 3 years of research experience along with 1 SCI/NAAS rated publication.
  • Senior Research Fellow: Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Statistics, Computer Science with 4/5 years Bachelor's. Alternatively, NET qualified candidates with Master's (3+2 pattern) and 2 years of research experience, or a Ph.D. in relevant subjects.
  • Young Professional-II (IT): Bachelor's degree with 60% marks in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Computer Science/Engineering, BCA or equivalent with 1 year of experience. OR Master's degree in relevant fields.
  • Young Professional-II: Graduate or Post Graduate in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or allied sciences.
  • Project Associate-1: Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, IT, or Computer Science.
  • Desirable Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (R, Python, Java, Perl, C++, Linux), Statistical and Computational Genomics, Web Portal Development, Database Management (MySQL), and AI/ML fundamentals.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection for the 16 project posts at ICAR-IASRI is based strictly on the following process:
  • Step 1: Application Screening: Candidates must email their application (Resume + Documents) by 15 November 2026.
  • Step 2: Shortlisting: Based on the volume of applications received, a screening will be conducted. A maximum of 10 candidates per post (10 times the vacancies) will be shortlisted and informed via email regarding the interview link and time.
  • Step 3: Video Conferencing Interview: The final selection interview will be conducted online via Video Conferencing on 20 November 2026, starting from 10:30 AM. Candidates may attend the interview in either English or Hindi.
  • TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the Video Conferencing interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Applicants must compile all documents into a Single PDF File and email it to [email protected]. The file should strictly contain:
  • Filled Annexure-I (Application Form)
  • Filled Annexure-II (Declaration of no relative) OR Annexure-III (Details of relative if employed)
  • Recent Passport Size Photo (less than 3 months old) & Updated Resume
  • Class 10 & 12 Mark Sheets and Certificates
  • Graduation & Post-Graduation Degree Certificates and Mark Sheets
  • Ph.D. Degree/Marksheet (if applicable)
  • NET/GATE Scorecard (if applicable)
  • Research Publications (1st page + abstract) & Experience Certificates
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer (if employed)
  • Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PH) as per Central Govt norms
  • CGPA to Percentage Conversion Certificate (if applicable)
  • Copy of Aadhaar Card

3. Is there any application fee for these 16 project posts?

5. What is the salary structure for Research Associate and Project Associate?

  • Research Associates receive Rs. 61,000 (Master's) to Rs. 67,000 (Ph.D.) + HRA. Project Associates receive Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 31,000 + HRA depending on NET/GATE qualification. Young Professionals receive a consolidated Rs. 42,000 per month.
