  • Note: Age relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for Retired University Professors applying for the Consultant post.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Consultant-Biodiversity Expert: M.Sc. in Zoology or Wildlife Sciences with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the Biodiversity sector. Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Assamese (oral and written) is mandatory. Desirable: Proven publications, flora/fauna identification, GIS skills, and community engagement experience.
  • Project Associate (Wildlife): M.Sc. in Zoology, Wildlife Sciences, or allied subjects with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Assamese is mandatory. Desirable: Experience in surveys, data collection, and working with local communities.
  • Support Staff-Field Help: Class XII pass with a minimum of 5 years of experience in externally aided projects. Desirable: Office handling, Dak distribution, and willingness to travel across Assam.
  • Residency: Only residents of Assam are eligible to apply.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Applications will be screened for eligibility.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview at the discretion of ASBB.
  • No written exam is mentioned, but ASBB reserves the right to change the selection procedure if candidates exceed limits.
  • TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

  • Fill out the prescribed application format (Page 9 of the notification) and write the post name at the top.
  • Include a 500-word statement of suitability describing qualifications and experience.
  • Attach a self-attested copy of Aadhaar/PAN Card.
  • Attach attested copies of all educational and experience certificates.
  • Send the hard copy to: Office of the Assam State Biodiversity Board, Aranya Bhawan, 2nd Floor, Panjabari, Guwahati-781037.
