Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Age Limit: 18 to 23 years as on the closing date of application.
  • Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for General category meritorious sportspersons; up to 10 years for SC/ST meritorious sportspersons.
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10th standard (Matriculation) from a recognized board. The detailed qualification and sports achievement norms for each discipline are in the official advertisement.
  • Nationality: Indian Citizen (including subjects of Nepal and Bhutan).
  • Ineligibility: Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen are not eligible for these vacancies.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • The selection process will be conducted as per the detailed advertisement. It typically includes the following stages:
  • Scrutiny of Applications: Shortlisting based on eligibility and sports achievements.
  • Documentation & Trial Tests: Verification of original documents followed by sports skill/trial tests in the concerned discipline.

Is there any application fee?

  • Yes. Male candidates belonging to UR, OBC, and EWS categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 100. Female candidates, SC/ST candidates, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the fee.

What is the salary for the Constable (GD) post?

  • The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary in the Pay Level-3 band of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100, plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other allowances as per CAPF rules.
