Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Professor: Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule, or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MD/MS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. Thirteen (13) years of teaching and/or research experience for General Disciplines, or ten (10) years for Super-specialty Disciplines.
• Associate Professor: Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule, or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MD/MS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. Seven (7) years of teaching and/or research experience for General Disciplines, or four (4) years for Super-specialty Disciplines.
• Assistant Professor: Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule, or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MD/MS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto. Three (3) years of teaching and/or research experience as Senior Resident/Demonstrator/Tutor/Lecturer or equivalent for General Discipline. No experience necessary for Super-Specialty Discipline candidates holding D.M./M.Ch.
• Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS): Recognized Medical Qualification included in the First or Second Schedule, or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. MD (Hospital Administration) / MHA or equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India. Nine (9) years of experience in Hospital Administration of at least 200-bedded Government hospital.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Attend the Walk-in Interview tentatively scheduled for 28 October 2026 at RGSSH, New Delhi.
