Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Professor: Ph.D. in relevant discipline with first class in preceding degrees (Bachelor’s Degree onwards). Where first class is not mentioned, at least 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% marks in aggregate is required.
• All degrees must be from an Institute/University recognized by UGC, AICTE, AIU, or GOI.
• Experience at the level of Associate Professor with AGP ₹9000 and/or ₹9500 (Pay Level 13A1 and/or 13A2) or more than six months of regular experience in CFTI/Institute of national importance/university/organization under CSIR, DRDO, DAE, DBT, DST, DSIR, ISRO, MOCIT, MOEF, MNRE, MOP, MOWR, NPL etc.
• For candidates with Ph.D. from SVNIT Surat, a three-year inbreeding gap applies (not applicable to existing SVNIT faculty).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Scrutiny of applications and shortlisting.
• Presentation/Seminar and Interview.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates called for written test, presentation, or interview.
• Candidates invited for the selection process must appear personally for the presentation and interview, though candidates working abroad may be considered for online interaction.

• Caste / EWS / Disability certificate (in prescribed Government of India format; OBC-NCL certificate issued after 1st April 2026)
• Ex-serviceman certificate, if applicable
• Experience certificate mentioning designation, pay scale, and service duration
• Documents in support of claimed credit points (first page of research papers, patents, projects, achievements, experience)
• Printout of proof of online application processing fee payment
• Undertaking in Annexure-III (for candidates having direct Ph.D. after 4-year B.Tech)
• No Objectation Certificate (NOC) from the current employer for regular Government/PSU employees
