  • Note: The positions are initially up to 31 March 2027 and are co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

  • Senior Research Fellow: Mandatory: Master's / Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Botany (Genetics and Plant Breeding). Preferred: Experience in sorghum research.
  • Field Assistant: Mandatory: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Agriculture. Preferred: Experience in sorghum research.
  • Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation applicable for SC, ST, OBC, Physically Challenged, Ex-Serviceman, and Women candidates as per Government rules.
  • Provisional Students: M.Sc. (Agri.) final year students who have submitted their thesis will be considered but must produce a Provisional Degree Certificate at the time of joining.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

  • Shortlisting: If a high volume of applications is received, candidates will be shortlisted based on academic performance and experience in a 1:5 ratio for the interview.
  • Walk-In Interview: Qualified candidates must report at 10:30 AM at the Directorate of Research, VNMKV, Parbhani. Interviews begin at 11:00 AM on 13 November 2026. Late arrival after 11:00 AM will be treated as absent.
  • No Call Letters: No separate call letters will be issued for the interview.
  • Travel Expenses: No TA/DA or other expenses will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.

Documents to Enclose with the Application:

  • Copies of certificates from Matriculation onwards.
  • Date of Birth Certificate.
  • NET / Equivalence certificates and mark-sheets.
  • Proof of experience and publications.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer (for currently employed candidates).

Documents to Bring to the Interview:

  • Hard copy of the duly filled application in the prescribed format.
  • One set of self-attested photocopies of all certificates.
  • Original certificates for verification.
  • Two copies of recent passport-size photographs.
  • Valid Photo ID Proof (Aadhaar / Voter ID / PAN).
  • Submission Address: Officer Incharge & Principal Investigator, Sorghum Research Station, Parbhani 431 401.
