Post-Wise Vacancy & Pay Scale

• The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has notified 25 tentative Group-C vacancies for the District & Sessions Courts under advertisement number 05/2026. The category-wise breakdown is given below:
• Pay Scale: Rs. 5,200-20,200/- per month with Grade Pay Rs. 2,000/- (Group-C)

Educational Qualification (Both Posts)

• Sweeper/Safai Karamchari (Post Code 46/26): Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board. No prior experience is required.
• Chowkidar (Post Code 47/26): Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized board. No prior experience is required.
• The crucial date for determining educational qualification and experience is 11 November 2026.

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 27 years
• Age Reckoned As On: 01 June 2026
• Date of Birth Range: Born not earlier than 02 June 1999 and not later than 01 June 2008

• Visit the official DSSSB OARS portal at https://dsssbonline.nic.in and click on "Click for New Registration" if registering for the first time.
• Complete the online registration using valid details, a scanned photo ID proof, and active contact credentials.
• Log in with the generated user ID and password.
• Select the appropriate post code (46/26 for Sweeper/Safai Karamchari or 47/26 for Chowkidar) and fill in the online application form accurately.
• Upload a recent clear colour photograph with a plain white or off-white background and your signature as per prescribed specifications.
• Pay the applicable application fee of Rs. 100/- online through SBI e-pay (exempted for Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen).
• Submit the application form before 11 November 2026 (11:00 PM).
• Download and retain a printed copy of the submitted application form.

Important Instructions for Candidates

• Applications must be submitted through online mode only. Postal, hand-delivered, or email applications will not be accepted.
• Once submitted, no requests for change or correction in any particulars (including category) will be entertained.
• Candidates must hold valid category certificates (OBC-NCL, EWS, SC, ST, PwBD) issued on or before 11 November 2026. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificates must be issued on/after 01 April 2026.
• Only one online registration and one application per post code are permitted. Multiple submissions will lead to outright rejection.
• At the examination centre, candidates must carry a printout of the exact photograph uploaded and follow the specified dress code (light-coloured clothes with half sleeves, slippers/sandals with low heels).

3. What is the application fee for DSSSB Chowkidar and Safai Karamchari posts?

• The application fee is Rs. 100/- for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. Women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates are fully exempted from payment. Payment must be made online via SBI e-pay.

5. What is the salary for Safai Karamchari and Chowkidar posts under DSSSB?

• Both posts carry a pay scale of Rs. 5,200-20,200/- per month with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2,000/-, classified under Group-C. This is the 6th CPC pay structure as notified by DSSSB.

6. What is the selection process and is there an interview?

• The selection process consists of an Objective MCQ Examination (100 marks) followed by an Interview (15 marks) conducted by the Office of the Ld. Principal District & Sessions Judge (Hqrs). The MCQ test covers English, Hindi, General Knowledge, and Arithmetic. Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer applies.
