  • Short Notice: The Indian Navy invites online applications from unmarried male candidates for enrolment as sailors in the Medical Branch (SSR Med) for batches 02/2025 and 02/2026. SSR (Medical Assistant)Qualified in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) from recognized boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 40% in each subjectCandidates appearing in 12th Board Exam (2024-25) are eligible, provided they submit original marksheet during recruitment with required marks.

  • Qualifying in the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection. Candidates undertake PFT at their own risk.

Additional Physical Requirements

  • Minimum Height: 157 cm for male candidates. Height relaxations as per regulations on joinindiannavy.gov.in.
  • Tattoos: Permanent tattoos permitted only on inner forearms (elbow to wrist) and back (dorsal) side of hand. Tattoos elsewhere disqualify candidates.
  • Visual Standards: Uncorrected vision: 6/12 (both eyes); Corrected vision: 6/6 (both eyes); Color perception: CP PASS.
  • General Health: Candidates must be in good physical and mental health, free from disease/disability affecting performance.
  • Advisory: Proficiency in sports, swimming, and extracurricular activities is desirable. Clean ears (wax) and remove tartar from teeth before medical examination.
