Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Educational Qualification: HSC (10th) pass or higher; candidates holding +2, B.A., or B.Sc. qualifications may enclose relevant certificates and mark sheets. Formal degree requirements are not rigidly specified beyond literacy and practical cooking ability.
• Gender: Male candidates only (post is for the Boys' Hostel).
• Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 03 October 2026 (advertisement date).
• Residency: Candidates must be residents of Mayurbhanj district. Recruitment prioritizes local candidates, then block-level, then nearby blocks. No candidates outside the district will be recruited.
• Practical Requirements:Must be able to stay in the hostel 24×7.Must be well conversant with LPG cooking equipment operation.Must maintain proper hygiene in dress and maintain good cooking habits.Must be able to cook dishes on time with attention to hygiene and taste.
• Desirable: Candidates trained in cookery will be given preference and due weightage.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection for Assistant Cook (Boys' Hostel) will be made on the basis of screening of submitted applications and preference as follows:
• Local candidates from the immediate locality will be given first preference.
• If suitable local candidates are not available, the block will be taken as the recruitment unit.
• If candidates are still not available at block level, candidates from nearby blocks within Mayurbhanj district may be selected.
• No candidates from outside Mayurbhanj district will be considered.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the recruitment process. There is no mention of a separate written test or interview date in the advertisement; shortlisted candidates may be called for a skill demonstration or interaction at the institution's discretion.
