Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Driver – Educational Qualification: Pass in Class 10 (Madhyamik) or equivalent examination recognised by the Government of West Bengal.
• Language Requirement: Knowledge of reading and writing in Bengali, English, or Hindi.
• Driving Licence: Valid Driving Licence for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) held for at least 3 (three) years as on 01 September 2026.
• Driving Experience: At least 03 (three) years of working experience as a Driver on LMV vehicles.
• Age Limit: Minimum 21 years, Maximum 40 years as on 01 October 2026.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Screening of Applications: All offline applications received before 16 October 2026 will be screened for eligibility, completeness, and possession of required documents (LMV licence, experience certificate, Class 10 certificate).
• Driving Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a practical driving test to assess LMV driving competency on designated routes/vehicles.
• Interview: Candidates who qualify the driving test will be invited for a personal interview before the selection committee.
• Medical Examination: Selected candidates will undergo a medical fitness test to ensure fitness for driving duties.
• Important: No Travelling Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) will be paid to candidates for appearing in the driving test, interview, or any stage of the selection process.
• Screening Clause: If the number of eligible applications exceeds the number of available positions, a screening process may be conducted to shortlist candidates for the driving test and interview.
