Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Consultant (Type-III): Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications:3-Year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grading, along with 6 years of post-diploma experience in Electrical Engineering.OR B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA grading, along with 3 years of post-degree experience. Candidates holding an integrated M.Tech./M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering are also eligible.
• Age Limit: Below 40 years as on the cut-off date of 29 October 2026.

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• Applications received within the due date will be shortlisted by a Selection Committee based on qualifications, experience, and domain knowledge.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview. The interview date and venue will be intimated separately through email.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
• Immediate joinees will be preferred during the final selection.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Download the prescribed specimen Application Form from IIT Delhi's website under Jobs@IITDelhi → Non-Academic.
• Fill out the application form completely with detailed educational percentage/division and work experience information.
• Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the application form.
• Scan the filled application form along with self-attested copies of supporting documents (educational certificates, mark sheets, experience certificates) in PDF format at 300 dpi or higher.
• Email the complete scanned set to [email protected] on or before 29 October 2026.
• No hard copy needs to be submitted through Post or Courier.
• Original certificates must be produced at the time of the interview or joining, if selected.
• Any false or incorrect information will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.

Is there any application fee for IIT Delhi Consultant recruitment?

• No. There is no application fee for this recruitment. The process is entirely free for all categories of candidates.

What is the salary for IIT Delhi Consultant?

• The consolidated monthly remuneration ranges from Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month, commensurate with domain knowledge, skills, and experience. The remuneration shall not exceed 20% higher than the amount received in any previous engagement. An annual increment of 3% to 10% may be granted after one year, subject to performance review.
