Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification for Research Associate-I: Ph.D. in Science or Engineering, OR an M.D./M.S. degree in any area of Medicine. At least one first-author publication arising from the PhD work. Research interest in Development and Neuroscience with a good academic record.
• Desirable Experience: Preferred: Hands-on experience in cell culture, primary culture, biochemistry, and molecular biology including CRISPR- or shRNA-mediated gene manipulation. Valuable addition: Animal handling, confocal microscopy, and lentivirus or Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) mediated genetic manipulation.
• Age Limit: Maximum 40 years, calculated as on the last date of receipt of application (22 November 2026).

Selection Process & Screening Clause

• The selection process for the NBRC Research Associate-I post involves the following stages:
• Screening of Applications: A duly constituted Screening Committee will shortlist applications based on qualifications, experience, and publications. The committee's decision is final and binding.
• Interview: Only candidates shortlisted by the committee will be called for a personal interview. Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee an interview call.
• No TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
• Candidates will not be entertained for correspondence regarding shortlisting decisions, and interim enquiries will not be attended to by the Centre.

Required Documents & Instructions for Candidates

• Send the following self-attested documents along with the application form via post. Incomplete applications or applications without self-attested certificates will be summarily rejected without intimation.
• Duly filled and signed application form (items 1 to 4 in capital letters) with a recent signed passport-size photograph.
• Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
• Self-attested copies of certificates of educational qualification and experience.
• Attested Category / Caste Certificate (SC, ST, or Persons with Benchmark Disabilities), if applicable.
• Proof of payment of the Rs. 200 application fee (DD receipt or online transaction confirmation).
