• Degree in Engineering with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application / Computer Science / Information Technology from a recognized university/institution

Selection Process and Screening Clause

• The Deputy Director (EDP) post at DPA is filled on absorption / deputation basis from officers serving in Major Port Authorities. The selection process involves:
• Step 1 — Scrutiny of Applications: Applications received through the proper channel and before the last date will be screened for completeness and eligibility against the prescribed qualification and experience criteria.
• Step 2 — Eligibility Verification: The crucial date for determining eligibility is 1 November 2026. Candidates must hold the prescribed qualifications and have the required years of service in the scale of Rs. 9,100 - Rs. 15,100 in the P&R Division of a Major Port Authority.
• Step 3 — Vigilance and Administrative Clearance: A Vigilance/Administrative Clearance in the prescribed format (Annexure-III) from the concerned Port Authority is mandatory. Any major or minor penalty in the last 10 years must be disclosed.
• Step 4 — Final Selection: Selection is made by the Competent Authority based on merit, suitability, and performance records (APARs). Applications without APARs or otherwise incomplete will not be considered.
• Note: This is a deputation/absorption post. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for any stage of the recruitment process. A probation period of 2 years applies as per Recruitment Rules (Annexure-I).

Required Documents and Instructions for Candidates

• Attested copies of APARs for the last five years (01/04/2021 to 31/03/2026) certified by the Head of Office
• Attested copies of all educational and experience certificates
• No-objection Certificate (NOC) from the respective Port Authority
• Undertaking not to withdraw candidature if selected
• Vigilance and Administrative Clearance from the concerned Port (Annexure-III)
• Bio-Data Proforma (Annexure-II) with recent passport-size photograph and Head of Office certificate with seal
• The envelope should be superscribed with "Application for the Post of Deputy Director (EDP) on Absorption/Deputation basis"
