Eligibility for Rural Home Guard

  • Essential Qualification: Minimum 7th Pass
  • Residential Qualification: Must be permanent resident of the block in Garhwa district from which applying.
  • Physical Standards:Height: Male - 162 cm (General/OBC/BC), 157 cm (SC/ST); Female - 148 cm (All categories)Chest (Male only): 79 cm (General/OBC/BC), 76 cm (SC/ST)

Eligibility for Urban Home Guard

  • Essential Qualification: Minimum 10th (Matric) Pass
  • Residential Qualification: Must be general resident of urban area in Garhwa district.
  • Physical Standards:Height: Male - 162 cm (General/OBC/BC), 157 cm (SC/ST); Female - 148 cm (All categories)Chest (Male only): 79 cm (General/OBC/BC), 76 cm (SC/ST)
  • Technical Qualification: Proficiency in technical fields such as electrician, firefighter, driver, teacher, nurse, computer operator, etc. (Only for Technical Urban Home Guard)

Selection Process

  • Physical Efficiency Test (Running, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put)
  • Hindi Writing Ability Test (Qualifying)
  • Technical Proficiency Test (Only for Technical Urban candidates, Qualifying)
  • Merit List preparation
  • Medical Examination
