Key Responsibilities (Role Overview)

• Design and operate hosting-agnostic environment on private/sovereign/government cloud including compute, network topology, firewalls, TLS/ingress, DNS and strict environment separation.
• Operate self-managed data and messaging estate (PostgreSQL 16 with HA/streaming replication, Redis Sentinel/Cluster, multi-broker Apache Kafka) with capacity planning for ~20 services.
• Own platform availability, monitoring, alerting, capacity management, and protect append-only audit store with backups.
• Own backup and disaster-recovery architecture, rehearsed restore drills, RPO/RTO targets and DR runbook.
• Own platform-layer and infrastructure security including hardening, least privilege access, custody and rotation of signing and encryption keys.
• Define and enforce production topology and scaling model, partner with DevSecOps and AppSec on deployment and hardening.
