- The Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), Department of Defence Production, has advertised 32 Group C Technician posts: 11 Technician (Skilled) at Level 2 and 21 Technician (Semi-Skilled) at Level 1, in CQA/SQAE establishments at Kanpur, New Delhi and Shahjahanpur. Post-wise Vacancy Details
- Units: CQA (GS), CQA (M), CQA (PP) and SQAE (GS) Kanpur; SQAE (GS) New Delhi; SQAE (GS) Shahjahanpur. 10% ex-servicemen and 10% Agniveer horizontal reservation. The unit-wise list is in the advertisement.
Eligibility
- Technician (Skilled): Matriculation + ITI in the trade, and 1 year of experience in the trade.
- Technician (Semi-Skilled): ITI pass certificate in the trade.
- A departmental trade skill test must be passed.
Age Limit
- 18 to 27 years on the closing date. SC/ST +5, OBC +3, ex-servicemen/Agniveer and PwBD as per Government of India rules.

Salary
- Skilled: Level 2 (₹19,900–63,200). Semi-Skilled: Level 1 (₹18,000–56,900). Both get DA, HRA and TA.

- City classes (HRA): X = Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Greater Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune. Y and Z cities are as listed by the Department of Expenditure (OM 21.07.2015). HRA is not paid if you live in government quarters.
- DA: 63% of basic pay, the central rate from 1 Jul 2026.
- TA: The X column uses the higher rate for listed big cities. Y and Z use the rate for other places; some Y cities (e.g. Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna) get the higher rate.
- Medical: No CGHS deduction is shown. This employer is an autonomous body, defence-funded, Railways, Delhi Govt or a force with its own medical scheme. Check your appointment terms.
- Not included: income tax (depends on your regime and declarations), group insurance (CGEGIS), professional tax and special allowances (e.g. NPA, MSP, risk or hardship allowances). Pay is for the entry cell; the official notification prevails.

Exam Pattern
- Objective written test of 100 questions/100 marks: General Awareness, English and Numerical Aptitude (Part 1 bilingual). No negative marking. Shortlisted candidates take the trade test.
